The Hokto Kinoko Company’s mission is to share our long heritage and reveal a tasty way to good health in our easy-to-prepare, unique and fresh mushrooms. Hokto’s mushrooms are California grown superfoods that support good health. Just about everything about Hokto is unique – from our mushroom varieties to our innovative growing and harvesting techniques. The delicious flavors of our mushrooms enhance any meal – they’re rich, robust and satisfying. The Hokto Kinoko Company believes that our flavorful and nutritious specialty mushrooms will become an important and growing part of the North American diet.

Welcome to the delicious world of specialty mushrooms. The Hokto Kinoko Company was established in San Marcos, California in 2006 and is a subsidiary of the largest specialty mushroom grower in Japan, Hokuto Corporation. Since 1989, we have been a leader in the cultivation of specialty mushrooms.

Today, we continue to be an innovator when it comes to mushroom production. Our California facility is the first of its kind in the United States, producing all four types of specialty mushrooms under one roof. At capacity, our growing facility can produce an amazing six million pounds of maitake, king trumpet, brown beech and white beech mushrooms. Our goal is to consistently provide the highest quality, best tasting mushrooms made with all natural ingredients.
